Como hacer los mundillos - how to make pillows
Me he decidido. Made up my mind!
I've always wanted to learn bobbin lace, but I never had a chance to while I lived in Cuba, my home country - no one does it there anymore. Later I came to live in Miami, FL, USA where lace in general is nearly extinct. (I have never understood why Michaels & JoAnn carry 4 aisles of wool yarn in a place where it's 80º degrees all year round!!). Whatever. It wasn't until last may, 2009, while on a trip to Europe, that I visited Brugge in Belgium, birthplace of lace, and I decided to do whatever it took to learn this beautiful art. And here I am, back in Miami, looking for a teacher to guide my fist steps in this world. I'll keep you posted!
